À qui s’adresse
your studio ?
Study the residents, workers and habits of the neighborhood. Meet your future clients and observe nearby studios: offerings, pricing, schedules and access.
From the first idea to the first class, build a studio that reflects who you are. The right space, the right machines and a project thought through in every detail.
Your concept drives everything else: the location, group size, schedule, equipment and class pricing.
Study the residents, workers and habits of the neighborhood. Meet your future clients and observe nearby studios: offerings, pricing, schedules and access.
Private lessons, small groups or group classes: define the level of attention, progression and formats your team can deliver.
Define what will make people want to come to you: your approach to classes, the attention given to each student, the atmosphere and services.
An independent studio lets you define your brand, equipment and pricing. A franchise can bring a concept and support, with costs and contractual obligations.
Compare entry fees, royalties, territorial exclusivity, imposed suppliers, included services and exit conditions. Have the contract and pre-contractual information document analyzed, delivered at least 20 days before signing. No model is automatically the most profitable.
A clear file includes your local study, the offer, team presentation, quotes and timeline. Add an initial financing plan, an activity forecast and a monthly cash flow plan.
Test multiple attendance levels. The number of studios in a city or the popularity of Pilates alone don't prove demand at your address.
Start with the desired number of participants. Your venue must accommodate the machines, the movements and all of studio life.
How many Reformers are you considering?
Design benchmark: 8 to 10 m² per machine, plus ancillary areas. This is not a standard or a plan validation. Adjust it to the dimensions, exercises, access and constraints of your space.
Check the dimensions, column placement, instructor movement paths and exercise range of motion. Factor in accessories and any towers.
Plan for restrooms, storage and reception. Consider lighting, ventilation, acoustics, temperature and floor maintenance.
Before signing the lease, verify the permitted use, renovations, accessibility and safety. The ERP classification depends on the building and your project.
| Reformers | Practice room | Premises with annexes |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 32–40 m² | 52–70 m² |
| 6 | 48–60 m² | 68–90 m² |
| 8 | 64–80 m² | 84–110 m² |
| 10 | 80–100 m² | 100–130 m² |
| 12 | 96–120 m² | 116–150 m² |
These scenarios use the same layout assumptions as the simulator. A dimensioned plan and a constraints study are still necessary.
The Reformer is at the heart of every session. Choose it for the practice, the comfort and the coherence of your space.
Wood or aluminum, finishes and upholstery: compare models with your teaching team. Test the adjustments, stability, carriage and ease of exercise transitions.
Colours, finishes and logo integration: discuss the possibilities for your chosen model with our team, then confirm your configuration before production.
Pilates At Home helps studios choose and customize their equipment. Your space, brand identity, and constraints are the starting point for every configuration.

Assess the initial investment, then test your business model. Adjust the amounts to match your project.
Editable example, not a binding quote. The price of 1,620.90 € reflects the Studio Signature as listed in September 2026. Other line items are estimates — replace them with your actual figures.
Include teaching, your compensation and contributions in the charges adapted to the schedule. Use the average price after discounts, before tax if VAT applies, or without VAT depending on your situation.
The balance is not a net accounting result. This model does not separately account for taxes, depreciation, VAT, payment delays or ancillary sales.
Compare equity, credit, leasing and grants while keeping an adequate reserve for launch. The total cost, personal guarantees and payment schedules matter as much as the monthly installment.
Profitability depends on actual attendance and costs. Test a conservative scenario before committing.
Compare offers at equivalent terms: equity, fees, interest or rent, guarantees, maintenance, purchase option and early exit. Check financing compatibility with supplier deposits and delivery.
An honor loan can strengthen financing: it is a personal zero-interest loan, without guarantee or personal surety, awarded on application by relevant networks. Grants and guarantees are not automatic.
Acre reduces certain contributions under conditions; it is not capital to purchase machines. ARCE allows receiving part of ARE rights as capital under conditions. Compare it with partial ARE maintenance.
Have the procedures verified at your creation date with Urssaf and France Travail. Your CCI and region can guide you on local programs.
Average monthly revenue = machines × classes per week × active weeks ÷ 12 × occupancy rate × average price. The break-even occupancy covers fixed costs after deducting variable costs.
Build a clear offering: discovery, packages and subscriptions. Check the actual price received per seat and display validity, cancellation and renewal conditions. The initial reserve is sized using the monthly cash flow plan.
Teaching quality and booking simplicity shape the experience, from the very first class.

Sole proprietorship, EURL/SARL or SASU/SAS: compare taxation, social protection, partners and financing with your advisor. A venue does not automatically require a company. Micro-enterprise is a sole proprietorship regime. Validate formalities at the one-stop shop and your VAT status.
Operating a sports facility requires appropriate liability coverage. Confirm coverage for the operator, instructors, staff and practitioners. Also review the premises, machines and business interruption. Have permits, safety, accessibility and required signage verified with qualified professionals.
Prepare equipment inspection tracking and emergency procedures. Formalize terms of sale, booking, cancellation and renewal. If you play music, check applicable rights. Adapt the organization to the activities actually offered.
The budget depends on the venue, renovation, equipment and team. The simulator provides an editable example: replace each amount with your quotes and add a reserve suited to the ramp-up phase. This is not an industry average budget.
You can lead the project and entrust classes to qualified professionals. If you teach yourself for pay, your qualifications and procedures must permit this. Operator obligations apply in all cases.
The number depends on your teaching approach, venue, demand and budget. Compare configurations with the surface tool, then test their economics. Plan for growth without purchasing unvalidated capacity upfront.
There is no guaranteed timeline. Average price, occupancy, expenses and financing determine the break-even. Track results and cash flow monthly, then adjust the schedule based on actual attendance.
Indicate the delivery city, number of machines, desired models and finishes, your timeline and access constraints. Include the floor plan if you have it. Our team can specify the configuration and options for your project.
